donate to CafesideMTB
We are currently looking for funding to help pay for the ecology report and planning application that are required before we can start getting Cafeside open again for riding.
The total cost to get through the planning stage is expected to be around £5,000. This will fund the ecological impact survey, surface water reports and the planning application itself.
All donations will go directly to getting Cafeside re-opened as soon as possible, and any funding beyond that required for the planning and ecology report will be put towards the future costs, see future fundraising below.
How to donate
By making a one-off or regular donation to CafesideMTB through Crowdfunder, we can seek matched funding from a large number of bodies and charities who are looking to help out community projects like ours.
We are offering rewards for donations, including Day Passes for when we open for business, as well as exclusives such as the test-ride series, for helping us test the trails before they open!
Future fundraising
Once our planning application has been submitted we will begin working with local businesses to get quotes for the various areas of work needed before we can re-open the site for riding. This will include the car park, start ramps and the trails, which will need to be fully signposted.
We will then seek sponsorships and a second round of fundraising to help towards the major costs that this work will entail. This is so that as soon as planning permission has been granted, we can acquire the licence from the Forestry and immediately begin work preparing the site.
Once the car park has been put in place, start ramps built, the existing trail network reinstated and made good, we can open for riding!
